Alejandro, We tried that trick with no luck :(. I then spoke to a developer or a higher level support rep and he said RedHat 4.x releases only. I am sure you could find the specific libraries/packages it relies on and try to install them over the current ones, but then you may go messing up tons of dependencies and BOXI may not work correctly. We are planning to just have one machine not match the others due to this restriction, I am not sure if they will support it on any release other than 4 .x also which is an issue for us. We recently discussed this with a consultant from CA and he made it sound like support for SRM using Redhat 5.x will not come until spectrum 10 maybe next year but I hope it comes during a 9.x release.
Actually the RHEL 5.x support is dependant on the BOXI support option. 5.x is supported only on BO XI 3.1 (Spectrum uses BO XI R2) so until the reporting platform is upgraded it's not going to change. The roadmap for 9.2 (yesterday's webcast with Jerome Simms) mentions 'Published SRM Schema' and 'Ad-Hoc reporting' so we might have a chance of getting a refresh of BO at that time.
