Hi experts,

I haven't found an information clear enough in the customization docs
regarding my question. Maybe one of you has implemented something similar:

What I would like to do is add a button to a device's information tab,
General information subview, that initiates the following procedure:

Test boolean attribute A on the device model, if true, start a pop up that
gives the user the possibility to cancel the action he is about to
initiate. If answered with "yes", proceed, otherwise print an
informational message in a popup and quit.

Save device model's attribute B's (type "Model type handle", i.e.
0x......) value for further reference, set its value to 0x0, deactivate a
specific watch on the device, wait 2 seconds, activate the watch again and
pop up a message that prints out a fixed string followed by a re-formatted
substring of the model's name whose handle had been saved in the previous
step (see at the beginning of this paragraph).

Background for the last step is that attribute B stores the model handle
of one of the device model's host configuration models. Their name is
"Modelname_MM.DD.YYYY.HH:MM:SS"; I would like to display a text like "the
model's last evaluated config was captured on DD.MM.YY at HH:MM:SS."

Too tricky? Only thing I really found was how to do an action on a model,
e.g. to activate a watch...

Freundliche e / Best regards
