Hello Aus,

We've been used to develop integration modules for DVB Professional
Equipments, mainly from Scientific Atlanta, Tandberg, Chyron, etc.

Most of them really are SNMP, but do not expect compliance MIB-2 or
any RFC/Draft or even consistance on data. Most of the equipments
contains SNMP agents that are mostly "connectors" to information
contained in the firmware, each equipment their own way.

So, if you intend to manage these equipments on eHealth/Spectrum,
you're gonna have to develop "intelligent models" and data models to
every equipment/family of equipments.

On eHealth, it is possible to do it by customizing the data model
(which is REALLY NOT TRIVIAL), variables etc. We are use to fit this
class of equipment under "Router/Switch" Technology, like eHealth
treat enviromental sensors, and we're able to trend, topN, LiveHealth,
Report Center but we couldn't do Live Health or customize more
advanced intelligence models.

Spectrum is easier, but it will also require advanced knowledge on the
equipments and very "low-level" customizations on model classes,
GenSNMPDev,etc. At least Spectrum provides deep documentation on how
to do it.

Good Luck and let us know about your progress.
