Oh, I forgot. To get the "noise" off the console go to user preferences and under alarms, set alarm filter. It looks scary, but it is not.

Doyle Architect - CA Services -----Original Message----- From: dtklein [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, November 17, 2009 2:00 PM To: spectrum Subject: [spectrum] Alert suppression & roll-up I have recently inherited a fully built-out Spectrum 9 install, and have not yet been able to get to a CA training. I notice that there is a large bulk of unactionable alerts coming across the console. Is there a simple document that describes to a new Spectrum administrator how to suppress alerts by alert-type, and how to send a meta-alert on high counts of repeated smaller alerts? I've tried going through the documentation in CA's online library, and it is very daunting, and hard to find where to begin.
