In your mask configuration you will need to ignore the line that starts with:
certificate self-signed 01
There is actually a space at the start of the line. Make sure you add
it.
Even more interesting is that all the hex lines that make up the key in
the running config will change and flagged every time the device
reboots. Put one of the following into your comparison mask. One of them
works. Unfortunately, I didn't remove the one that does not work from my
list and don't remember which is the correct one.
" \s*([A-F,0-9]{8}){1,8}"
\s*([A-F,0-9]{8}){1,8}

Hi All and Happy New Year
Has anyone come across the problem with 12.2(50)SE and onwards that if
crypto keys are used the startup and running configs do not match as the
startup config just contains the line "certificate self-signed 01
nvram:IOS-Self-Sig#3031.cer" rather than the key?
If so have you any suggestions on how to get around the problem of the
config alarming as having differences between running and startup?
