CLI question:

I need to run a CLI command on my Spectroserver dump a list of all devices
of a certain model type. I tried using the ./show models mth=XXXXXXX
option but it does like my syntax. Can anyone set me on the right path?
It's been so long since I've used the CLI I've forgotten most of the
syntax.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Re: [spectrum] Troubleshooting undiscovered links

Thank you for the responses David and Mitch.

One device is a Cisco 3750 with CDP, but the other is a Cisco ASA, which
doesn’t support CDP. I’ve got another ASA on the same switch where both
links discovered properly. Additionally, the discovery debug shows that
the missing connection was found at layer 2 but it looks like it was
discarded at layer 3. I’ve bundled all this up and sent it to Support. If
I get anything interesting back, I’ll update the thread.

By default, Cisco routers and switches will emit CDP out all interfaces,
though recommended practice is to turn it down on interfaces that support
the edge (either non-trunk ports on access switches or ports on routers
where a hand-off is performed (such as to a vendor, WAN/Internet provider,
VPN or extranet).

If in a Cisco environment, is CDP enabled across the board?

Subject: [spectrum] Troubleshooting undiscovered links

Hello all-

We’re rolling Spectrum out in earnest, which includes discovering a large
number of devices. We’ve come across a few connections between
SNMP-managed devices that are not automatically modeled. Does anyone have
any suggestions how to troubleshoot discovery issues like these? I didn’t
see any in either the docs or on the wiki.

Thank you,
Jim
