Hi users,

we're using Spectrum 9.1.3 (and 9.2 soon).

In SANM we're able to filter for models contained in
GlobalCollections. Very nice, think of this scenario:

- dynamic GC "NetworkDevices" collecting devices with "ModelClass =
Switch, Switch-Router or Router"
- SANM policy filter configured to send all alarms of the above GC
models to "[email protected]"

When I select the GC in OC explorer I see all alarms including the
device subcomponents ones. But the subcomponents alarms are never sent
to network-guys, only the device's alarms...

Now my question:

Does anybody of you know a way to catch the subcomponents of a device
like the described one?

Maybe something like:

- GC filter catching modelclass "Switch" AND the corresponding
subcomponents by a special attribute
- Policy in PolicyMgr watching out for models in GC "NetworkDevices"
and placing all their subcomponents in an additional GC (this would
mean two GCs in SANM filter)
- some other solution I forgot to think about

BTW: am I able to use GlobalCollections in any kind of filter (e.g.
alarmfilter: "contained in GC Server AND attr OS is Windows" or
"contained in GC NetworkDevices AND in GC LessThan10Interfaces")?
Could be a solution for me (e.g. "modelclass is Port AND ParentModel
is contained in GC XY")

Any help is very much appreciated!

Regards,
Marcel
