  A SDC will show you the device as if were connected directly to the  
SS, so no different IPs and ports, etc. It will proxy SNMP polls and  
traps, plus ICMP traffic through the SD connection to the remote LAN.
  So I guess a real SNMP proxy should work like a SDC, but I don't  
think there is any standard for proxying SNMP and no OOB tool to do  
that.
  Maybe - if all devices behind are directly connected to the firewall  
- you can model them as 'fanout' or other 'dumb' model and link them  
to the interfaces on the firewall so you can monitor. Otherwise, I  
think a SDC would be the only solution.
