Hi,
I don't understand what your problem is. Severity is for alarms, not
events. Are you trying to configure Event Condition Rules to generate
different alarms with different severities depending on a trap
variable?
In that case, sure you have a mistake in your EventDisp file. Check
syntax is OK and you don't have duplicate conditions.
Here is an example from CA course:
AlertMap:

EventDisp:
