Hotfix H04 for 9.2 will resolve this scenario. Here is the description from the H04 Release Notice -
Symptom: OneClick displays negative alarm counts under the VNM / SpectroSERVER Control / Alarm Information tab (the negative value(s) may be displayed as huge values, due to unsigned integer representation). Resolution: The vnm.out will now report abnormal internal alarm table insertion and deletion failures, so there won't be any more negative counts in such situations. In the case where it may happen in other situations, negative alarm count debugging (enabled by sending action 0xbabab00 to the AlarmMgmt device) now provides more information. This differs drastically from the number shown in my alarms table. Does anyone know what might cause this condition? I am running a fault tolerant Spectrum 9.2 H03 installation on Linux. Every day I get a critical alarm for "Unresolved Alarms". The secondary server is in hot stand-by. -Ken --- To unsubscribe from spectrum, send email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe spectrum [email protected] --- To unsubscribe from spectrum, send email to [email protected] with the body: unsubscribe spectrum [email protected]
