Two questions that are old timey but I can't remember shxx anymore. 1. How do you update the VNM to be a snmp model ? IE: snmp might not have been running on the SpectroSERVER when you installed it, and you since have configured it and want to convert the VNM to a traditional managed snmp device. There used to be a KB article on this but I can't find it.
2. Turning off polling to Pingables you want in Spectrum as placehoders but don't need want the overhead of polling them. Polling off? Or Maint Mode? MM would turn off trap processing if you simply didn't know the community and suddenly the SysAdm decided to enabled Traps. At least then the pingable would go into the "New Devices" container and you could work on picking it up. I'm thinking PollingStatus (0x1154f) = Off. Or is there something new or I forgot?
