When you first install Spectrum you give a landscape handle, when you start the
SpectroSERVER for the first time, that's when the database is stamped with the
landscape handle. There is no way to change it after that point, unless you
reinstalled with a different landscape handle.

To move models from one landscape to another the modeling gateway is used
because on the import end the devices are just rediscovered, modeling them new
into the new landscape.

Yes, i used modeling gateway to export models from one spectro server and
import its to another with a diferent landscape number, but what i want to do
is just change the landscape number. I try lh_set but dont work, the database
is the initial, it does not containt any models.

Thanks !!

Actually, you will have to use the Modeling Gateway functionality to do this.
The LH_SET tool no longer exits and cannot be used to change the landscape
handle of a Spectrum modeling database.

There is a separate Modeling Gateway guide that explains how to export from one
landscape and import to another.

Hello Diego,

I think you can do that using the tool "LH_SET" in $SPECROOT/SS-Tools:

> lh_set.exe <new_landscape_handle>

Please, note that "landscape_handle" must be in decimal.
Also, note that the tool must be called from "$SPECROOT/SS" directory, and then
the call should be:

>../SS-Tools/lh_set.exe <new_landscape_handle>

I guess you will find more info in the manual.

Hi list, maybe is a silly question.. but im trying to change a landscape
number of a spectro server, for example, from 4 (0x100000) to 8 (0x20000).

Thanks!
Diego
