If you just want to import the assets from Spectrum to CMDB then you will have
to use modeling gateway on SpectroServer as follows:

In bash shell from SS-Tools

> ./modelinggateway -vnm sb-ss92 -cmdb -e sbss92

On Service Desk server:

C:\Program Files\CA\Service Desk\bin>GRLoader.exe -u servicedesk -p servicedesk
-i <xmlFileName> -s http://eahq-srvdskdev1:8080/

Example

C:\Program Files\CA\Service Desk\bin>GRLoader.exe -u servicedesk -p servicedesk
-i sbss92.xml -s http://eahq-srvdskdev1:8080/

Subject: [spectrum] CA Service Desk integration with CA Spectrum

Have been using CA Spectrum for a long time and our organistaion is also in the
process of implementing CA Service Desk. The Service Desk people are asking
questions about pulling in devices and network equipment from Spectrum to
Service Desk as CI's.

Are there any of the Spectrum mailing list users our there that have
implemented CA Service Desk and have integrates this with CA Spectrum? Are you
willing to share your experiences?

I am aware of the CA Service Desk manual that comes within the Spectrum
manuals. It provides lots of info on higher level integration such creating
tickets from from OneClick Alarms.

What we are looking for at this stage is just pulling server and network device
information from Spectrum into the Service Desk CMDB.

If you are willing to share information on how you have setup this integration
then please contact me via email.
