Hello, there are 2 situations. If the Alarmtitle is dynamic (e.g. eHealth Integration, CA DPM Integration) the PCAUSE Variable doesn't help, because the real Alarm Title is stored in Eventvariable 76620 then.
For this situation you have to pass the Variable '0x12b4c' to the Notifier by
editing the .alarmrc:
EXTRA_ATTRS_AS_ENVVARS=0x12b4c
Then you have to edit the Scripts. Example:
if [ "$SANM_0x12b4c" ]
then
ALARM_TITLE=`echo "$SANM_0x12b4c"`
ALARM_TYPE=`echo "$PCAUSE" | awk 'BEGIN{FS='\012'}(NR==1){print $0}'`
else
ALARM_TITLE=`echo "$PCAUSE" | awk 'BEGIN{FS='\012'}(NR==1){print $0}'`
ALARM_TYPE=$ALARM_TITLE
fi
The Alarmtitle can be found in Variable $ALARM_TYPE.
Hope this helps. As I said, it's only necessary if you have dynamic Alarm
Titles. If you Alarms have a static title, you can use the PCAUSE Variable.
Regards

Betreff: Re: [spectrum] Passing Alarm Title To Set Script
Hi Andy,
that should be the pCause (the first line of it).
The SetScript should get this over an env. Variable called PCAUSE (if you use
the new interface).
regards,
Mike

About two years ago I setup my notifer to pass the alarm title to my setscript.
Can't remember how I got that working. I sure there a bunch of folks out there
doing this. Thanks!
