David,

I will send you a perl script, for palo directly to your mail. We use it
direct, but can be easily modified to bring it into Spectrum config

Subject: [spectrum] NCM Scripts for Palo Alto firewalls

Has anyone here been able to successfully code a config collection script for a
Palo Alto firewall?

I've been working on one for the last couple of days but it's just not working.

I know the commands are valid, because I can type them into a SSH session from
BASH, they're just not working in a script.

I've seen scripts for other apps and have attempted to emulate those but it's
just not working.

I know I need to log in (that bit is working) then:

set cli pager off
show config running

But the script terminates with SSHProcessError and it seems the ssh session
itself it terminating. I can see a "set cli scripting-mode on" command which
I think may be required but a Google search for that command turns up nothing!
I don't know what exactly it does and I'm not going to run it until I do!

Any help would be greatly appreciated !
