Well 1.6.0_21 is the one installed by OneClick on my site. And OneClick is configured to allow versions 1.6.0_21+.
And nearly all the PC in my team habe the same problems: sometimes it starts, sometimes not. I am wondering if it is possible that it is an anti-virus problem, but the company policies doesn't allow me to disable the antivirus. Have you done that? What happens if you remove the Java from the XP box completely, then let Spectrum install it? (Is that how it works? Will OneClick push Java to a PC in addition to the OneClick app? It's been awhile since I messed with it). How isolated is this? Do other boxes with 1.6.0_21 run OneClick fine? Check page 52 in the Spectrum Administrators Guide. -K On Jan 16, 2012, at 9:06 AM, [email protected] wrote: Well that's all it tells me: "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaws.exe" -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\oneclick.jnlp" and, when it fails, it don't evenb start the Java Console, there is just a popup with title "Java Virtual Machine Launcher" telling: Could not start the Java virtual machine. Could you please post the entire error message?
