Found another thing. I created a user with special characters " (double
quotes), ' (single quote), ! (exclamation), and the CABI integration report
OCA_Abuse exception.

Another ticket for CA...

Subject: RE: [spectrum] Space character and username & password

To my surprise, I created users with a lot of special characters in name and
password - that worked too...

As per support it is Functioning as designed (FAD) and CA might have removed
all the restrictions from username and password field for usage of any special
character.

In our DEV environment, I have EEM integration of Spectrum and eHealth (both
distributed). Reports launched from Spectrum with username having a Space
character is not liked by any reports that are supposed to run on ehealth
pollers (like trend, live reporting, performance dashboard), however AAG report
which runs on ehealth RFE works (magically) - I have opened another ticked.

To me it's not well thought of design than bug/ enhancement tickets to patch
the product.

I did the same copy & paste userid build, experienced the exact challenge, and
scratched my head attempting to figure out why the new user I created did not
work . . . We also run a DSS 9.2.1 RHEL environment.

Thanks

Subject: [spectrum] Space character and username & password

Hello Spectrum World,

We are running Spectrum 9.2 SP1 on RHEL.

While recreating a user in Spectrum, I accidently created a user with a leading
space character (I was trying to save some time by copy/paste). Then by
curiosity, I created another user and by surprise I found that I was able to
create user in spectrum with either leading or trailing or "in between" space
character. I found the same was true for password field. Has anyone else seen
this before?

I have opened a ticket with support to find out more details.

Cheers,
