Anyone have experience in changing password for Spectrum admin user?
I collect all the information I found about that and I create a manual
My goal is to change password in all places: windows / OC / spectrum /
ArcMgr / etc...
What do you think?
IPMS Spectrum Password Change Instructions:
1. Before any change SPLIT THE MIRROR
2. first read
a. Distributed SpectroSERVER Administrator Guide (2770),
page 43
b. Database Management Guide (2601), page 58
3. change windows <ipms admin user> password
4. open a Command Prompt
5. navigate to D:\win32app\SPECTRUM\lib\SDPM directory
6. enter the following command:
a. processd.exe --stop
b. processd --install --username <ipms admin user>
--password <new password>
c. processd.exe --start
7. go to D:\win32app\SPECTRUM\SS\DDM
8. edit .configrc
9. update entry DDM_DATABASE_PASSWORD with new password
10. save .configrc
11. login to OneClick
12. change OneClick <ipms admin user> password
13. open control panel
14. open schedule tasks
15. update password for all schedule tasks of <ipms admin user> with
new password
16. stop Spectrum services
17. restart server
18. sanity checks
a. login to server
b. open Spectrum control panel
c. check Spectrum services ( SpectroServer & ArcManager )
d. open OneClick ( login as ipmsuser )
e. open SRM
f. check schedule tasks
g. check SS DB backup
