You might be able to disable the alarms from being generated on that parictular DSS node via the ECE editor? ________________________________________ From: Rob [[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, March 13, 2012 12:20 PM To: spectrum Subject: [spectrum] DSS question
Is there a way to configure a Landscape in Spectrum's Distributed SpectroSERVER environment, but NOT contribute Alarms & Events to the DSS view? We have separated the Virtual Host Mgr in Spectrum to run on a standalone Landscape, but need to reference its ability to detect new Virtual Servers as they are stood up by the VMWare team. We model the new servers via the OS based systemEDGE agent w/o the underlying Virtual Host model headaches, and need to know which Landscape to model the host on. In the DSS environment we have dedicated a Landscape to host all the Virtual Servers, organized by VMware cluster. Ultimately I need Locator to query the separate Landscape only for the presence a device autodiscovered by Virtual Host Mgr. Ideas?
