Hello Amitay,

In the past, CA Support has advised that adding packages to the
product's embedded Perl is not a supported configuration, since
modifying the as-delivered platform has potential to break things.

That's not to say that it is not possible to do this, it just is not
advisable.

Also, if you do this, then you will need to add/update the packages
yourself after every Spectrum patch activity, since the distribution
will likely be overwritten.

The NCM module does appear to have support for an external Perl engine,

that may be a better option for you, since you could customize the
external Perl engine to your liking.

HTH,

--Mark S

Subject: [spectrum] installing perl packages

Hi,

Has anyone installed additional perl packages in Windows?

I'de to install SSH2 and SFTP packages on windows installed with
Spectrum.

Where should I install those packages?

How should I do it?

BR, Amitay.
