Hi all,
Anyone have any knowledge or experience re using/modifying this device model
attribute?
Only info I could find (in Policy Mgr user guide) says:

“Message Size

Attribute ID: 0x1197b
Determines the largest packet size (in bytes) that CA Spectrum is allowed to
send to a device’s SNMP agent.”

Customer has a Firewall that baulked at being polled by SNMP packets > 512b in
size. So I changed it for that device and problem stopped.

I found that in this (9.2h06 Win) Spectrum deployment there are just 2 values
for this attr present across the board – either 1500 or 500. I see no real
pattern here. Anyone else?
Even devices of same mtype and type, but on different landscapes (but all with
same release/patch level BTW) are divided between the 500 and 1500 camps!!! Am
I being stupid? Yes probably, but…

…Any feedback welcome!

Cheers
Dan.
