You would not install the agent on the ESX server itself. Instead, there is an AIM extension for SysEdge that you would install on the vCenter system. This AIM access the entire cluster via the ESX API, and translates that information through SysEdge back to VAIM, Spectrum, and eHealth. It shows the ESX systems and clusters, and information about the virtual machines installed on each VM. You also can install the SysEdge agent on each VM, but you won't need it to measure CPU or memory, only for log or process monitoring. The latest versions of VAIM and Spectrum have greatly improved this integration through vCenter. We tested an earlier version and found it had useful potential.
