Hey Mike good to hear from you again, I have done this years ago on Solaris so my experiences may not play out with today's version of Spectrum.
So you want to change the following: spectrum - account associated as 'install owner' newspecadm - new user to be the new 'install owner' I'd leave the existing spectrum user in the /etc/passwd file in case you miss something, and then create the new user "newspecadm" in the passwd/shadow files. Traditionally you'd run "chown -R newspecadm:newspecgroup /opt/spectrum" to execute the changes across the filesystem. (creating the user in the DB first of course) But how bout this: Setup SRAdmin on the box, and re-install using it. I use SRAdmin all the time here to install, patch, and re-install and LOVE it. It has a field in its config file for "spectrum owner". SRAdmin knows every file it has to affect and probably would not miss anything. I think it also sets up special files based on the 'install owner' ala the UI file. Its easy to setup, (SRAdmin deamon must be running) and the config file is pretty straight forward. There is a provision in the config file to 'reinstall'. If you want an example of a config file, I'll be happy to share one of mine with you. Best Regards -Bob Borowicz P.S. Hope any friends and family in Oklahoma are fine.
