By default, this event is not turned on. There's an entry in the $SPECROOT/SS/.vnmrc file:
log_user_events= You'll need to set this to "true." It will cause a lot of noise as well for user events (not just destroys), though, so just keep that in mind. A restart of the SpectroServer is needed in order for the change to work.
