Hi, First be sure that you could connect to Spectrum mysql db from your boxi server. I used CABI Designer tool to test the connection to Spectrum Mysql DB.
If it fails confirm hostname resolution from CABI to Spectrum, firewall on Spectrum server is allowed connections to Mysql. If the error is related with mysql driver, follow this procedure: "Release Notes: CA Spectrum® (Spectrum) Release 09.02.03.H12 Last revised 10/19/13 CA Spectrum 9.2.1 included a new version of the Connector/J driver (5.1.12). If you are upgrading from a release prior to 9.2.1, have Report Manager installed, and did not install 9.2.1, this driver will have to be deployed to the Business Objects server. To deploy the new 5.1.12 Connector/J driver, take the following steps: o Stop the tomcat server for Business Objects. o Stop all of the Business Objects servers. o Copy the mysql-connector-java.jar file from /tomcat/common/lib on the OneClick machine to /opt/CA/SharedComponents/CommonReporting3/bobje/java/lib/external on whichever host Business Objects resides (does not have to be the same host as OneClick).
