We (the IM community leaders) are discussing a new effort with CA to share this
type of content in the community. CA is working on a way to share unofficial
tools and scripts with the community. In the past we had it on the DACHSUG wiki
and in the document library on the old community platform, but we could never
get much content. Now CA is looking at allowing the tools and scripts which
were developed by their own engineers onsite to be posted in the community.
This content would be provided as-is for use at your own risk and without
support from CA, but can be very useful if you know how to use them. We are
working with CA to decide on the best way to share these files with the
community in a way that they are easy to find for everyone. This will probably
be a set of tags and one or more pages with default searches to show an
overview of all content with those tags. I expect we will post this content and
instructions on how to share your own content in the IM community Wiki
(https://communities.ca.com/docs/DOC-231148866). Part of the original DACHSUG
Wiki has also been included there. Once available, it will be announced in the
monthly community update in the IM community blog
(https://communities.ca.com/community/ca-infrastructure-management/content?filterID=contentstatus%5Bpublished%5D~objecttype~objecttype%5Bblogpost%5D).

Subject: RE:[spectrum] Perl Scripts (UNCLASSIFIED)

The DACHSUG Wiki attempted this, but last time I looked it just had one script
on there!

If you set a site up I can certainly contribute something.

Subject: [spectrum] Perl Scripts (UNCLASSIFIED)

Classification: UNCLASSIFIED
Caveats: NONE
Good Day Listers,

Quick question:

We have many vendors (Juniper, Brocade, Netscreen, Cisco) throughout our
network and we all know that Spectrum, out of the box, has very limited Perl
scripts for NCM.

(A) Does anyone know of a website that actually has different NCM Perl
Scripts posted?

(B) If not, I can start up a site and start posting them.

Either way, If you can be so kind and send me some scripts to help me build up
a collection of scripts, I can start working on a centralized site.

Thanks
Stephen
