Franck, I just tried this and it's worked on the DMon attribute for some of these but not the PMon - but I'm making progress!
There's also TWO different PMon_SendAlarmTo attributes - one for RuleSet2790 model type and one for the process monitor model type. So both need to be set (and Spectrum just ignores the missing attribute on each model type)/ I've also checked "Set as default" so future monitored processes/file systems should report to the device model by default. Hopefully that'll work now :) Thanks everyone! Dave David K. Change default alarm generation? Hi David, list, when you already have your monitors defined (referring to Craig's description), you could just switch the setting. It is stored on the rfc2790App type models. A value of zero means "send alarm to device", a value of 1 means "send alarm to proc/disk model". 0xc4112b PMon_SendAlarmsTo 0 0xc41135 DMon_SendAlarmsTo 0 The value can be modified using OneClick - using the attribute editor even as modeltype default. A more flexible way is to set it using a policy manager rule. All, We have been taking on more and more server monitoring recently and as such we've been doing a lot of file system monitoring using the RFC2790 panels in OneClick. One thing that's causing a major pain is that by default these alarms are generated on the disk models (I believe process models for process monitoring work the same) rather than the device models. Is there an attribute I can set in bulk via Attribute Editor that will force all RFC2790 file system and process alarms to assert on the device model rather than have our 1st Line guys go through each server individually and set the "Generate Alarm On" option one at a time?
