Hi David, list, the NCM guide has an appendix stating the relevant MIBs and additional properties that are needed/checked for config management to work. Did you try "right click -> reconfiguration -> reevaluate ncm device family"? Did you change the device certification assignment prior or after device creation? The modeltype won't change dynamically, so re-creation is necessary. Are you referring to IOS-XE based devices? They do not support the necessary MIBs and therefore need some custom family with ssh scripts.

System OID isn't in the list of Certified Devices. There IS a certification for an older version of that kit with Model Type Name = RTR_Cisco Model Class = Switch I have set my new cert to the same, however devices of the old type work with NCM (the tab in Component Detail activates and I can click the camera icon etc.) but this new one doesn't. I've done this in the past in previous versions of Spectrum and it's worked so I assume there's something else I need to tweak. What else do I need to set for self-cert devices to use the existing "Cisco IOS" and "Cisco IOS - SSH Capable" families? I'm sure there's something to do with software versions that Spectrum reads from the MIBs but I can't find any useful documentation to help me. Any ideas!? Ta! Dave David K.
