Hi Patrick, your way to go might be as follows:
- Create a custom NCM device family e.g. filtering on Modeltype_name “NSFirewallVPN“ - Configure the “capture running configuration script” on device device family leveraging any script interpreter existing on the SpectroSERVER machine (e.g. Perl or bash/expect), the logic might look like: o ssh device o set console page 0 o get config all o exit - be aware of the parameter list, below is the standard one 1) device ip 2) loin user 3) login pass 4) enable pass 5) timeout - add a username/password either on family or on device level Mit freundlichen Gruessen - Yours sincerely Raphael Franck Consultant Global Infrastructure Operations Computacenter AG & Co oHG Enabling Users Europaring 34-40, 50170 Kerpen, Germany E-Mail: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> WWW: www.computacenter.de<http://www.computacenter.de/> Von: Murtey, Patrick [mailto:[email protected]] Gesendet: Mittwoch, 11. But in the mean time I am trying to get NCM to capture configs from our NetScreen devices. Has someone been able to successfully do this? And do they mind sharing the solution. I looked in the NCM user guide and it mentions Cisco, Juniper and Nortel. But nothing about Netscreen. Being a Juniper product I thought modeling as a JunOs would resolve the problem. But the Host Configuration tab remains greyed out. Any information would be appreciated.
