Do you use some kind of sensors in your environment? We are currently struggling with a vendor of temperature sensors, the mib file is «halfway», traps not defined correctly and so on, it goes on and on. We have modeled this bad sensor into spectrum after many man-hours of work. We bought another from the same vendor, and found out that they had used that same oid for this to. The model of this sensors ar Comet T0510 and Comet P8652. We are now looking for another sensor vendor that supplies equipment with mib and mibfiles without any errors, and have traps defined a proper way in the mibfile. SnmpV3 with SHA and AES would also have been super. Web interface with ldap options too.
