Create the Global Collection, have it update at just before 8AM, then run a vnmsh script to update the Maintenance attribute to No for any Model in that G.C. I've done something similar to add Maintenance Schedules to all members of a Global Collection once a week.
A Policy won't work; I have tried the same. - Joseph Poutre| CIB | ITIP - Production Tools and Efficiency AVP 525 Washington Jersey City Off:+1 (201) 850-4179 Cel:+1 (201) 920-6632 [email protected] From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, September 17, 2015 10:26 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [spectrum] Removing devices from maintenance daily That's the method I tried first --- now I might have been doing something wrong, but I didn't get it working. Create a dynamic Global Collection that searches for all devices in Maintenance Mode 2. Schedule the update of that GC for 8.00am each day 3. Create a policy that sets the attribute for Maintenance Mode to No 1. Apply the policy to the GC This should result in the GC being populated each morning with all devices that are in Maintenance Mode. And the policy will immediately take them out of Maintenance Mode. Hope that helps. Check the forum. You have several examples about it. regards 2015-09-16 16:10 GMT+02:00 Stallcup, Phillip L <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>>: We have a problem with devices/interfaces being put in maintenance, various reasons, but mostly to stop paging, and then being forgotten. I have a Global Collaction that collects these, so they can be more easily seen, however I'm looking for a way to remove everything that's in this GC from maintenance once per day (say 8:00 am). Anyone have any ideas?
