Ferey, I don’t think I understand the question. You say that Router1 is modeled in Spectrum and receives traps from it. When you get a trap event that is mapped to an alarm it has a PCause file associated with that alarm and the Recommended Actions is in that file. Let us use Link Down as an example. That trap comes from Router1 in to Spectrum. Spectrum will find the Event that belongs to this trap and if it is an alarm (which it is) Spectrum will grab the PCause file associated with that event from the EventDisp file. And now you have a BAD LINK DETECTED alarm in Spectrum for Router1.
So you want to add additional information on the Recommended Actions of the PCause files for that Link Down? If this is the case then you would have to go through each Event and create a rule that sends it to another custom event with a different PCause file with info you want to add. That way it will be preserved with future upgrades. But it is a lot of work if you want to modify a bunch of alarms. Hope it answers your question. Now beside the recommended action which each alarms has, i want to add an extra and same comment for any alarm that is being generated by model A in Spectrum. Any suggestion? Thank you.
