Tha bad news, it doesn't work (for me).
The good news, the patch is now in CVS so Alex, you and I can try to see
what's wrong without submitting big patches for small fixes.
I'll take a look at the rp-pppoe tty code to see how they configure the hdlc
line discipline for async mode.
NB : the if(syncHDLC) enclosing the hdlc discipline setup has been removed
because i think we must set it even in async... maybe i'm wrong
but it didn't work either with our without this if statement so i
removed it.
