I think this 2 modem problem will be solved when francois and i would try
to meet in Paris again with our 2 modems. We should test if the problem
exists with GNU/Linux or if it's just a BSD problem.

Is it possible that you try with a GNU/Linux system (let's say e Debian :=) ?
