I'm tired of this shit. After months and months of suffering I have at least a Suse 7.3 running with a speedtouch. Frequently (twice a day) the link drops and I 've script that manage to reconnect. But some times the "reconnect_script" doesn't work and so I added a "reboot" . All will be fine but even when rebooting, Sometimes my system freezes up , typically in the morning I come by and what I see is my keyboards LED blanking ( the "Caps" an "Scroll" leds ) And nothing can be done to do but shutting done the power . I'm not able to trace and locate what's wrong I need some help. It seems to freeze nearby the moment modem_run launch the microcode ?????
I use a ohci pci-card I've added in the computer because my on-board usb was troublesome . It is a old pentium 133 running a Suse 7.3. I use the What is strange is that I can not reproduce the problem. When I reboot manually, or try to force the reboot everything runs OK.
