I have installed the speedtouch-1.2-beta2 drivers and after a lot of playing
around I got them working I also added the -s option to modem_run in the
speedtouch.sh script (using this to start connection on boot) to kill the
"USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 2 ep 0x85 len 512 ret -110" messages that appeared
intermittently. So all is working fine, I then tried to simulate a
disconnection by unplugging the adsl line from the wall socket to see if it
would reconnect, normally you get the right hand led flashing if this
happens, the led stays steady, I reconnect the lead but there is no
reconnection, I had to reboot the machine to get reconnected. I then added
two lines to options file, lcp-echo-interval 2 & lcp-echo-failure 7,
mentioned elsewhere hoping this would detect the line was down and reconnect
when it was back. As soon as I disconnected the line I got this across my
login screen "USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 2 ep 0x7 len 53 ret -110" on
reconnection of the line the messages continue and no internet connection is
available to browse the net and these messages just continue to fill the
screen! I pulled part of the log onto here, any help would be helpful!!!!
