I use modem_run with the -s option, but thats only relevant when you're
first loading the firmware into it. If it were that causing the error,
the 'len' part of the debug output would have been 512, not 106.
That error happens after then modem has been online for a few hours ...

 hello folks,

I'm trying to use a speedtouch usb (original type) with linux, and its
working fine, for perhaps 6 or 7 hours, then Something Goes Wrong, and
messages fills up with this:

usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_BULK failed dev 2 ep 0x7 len 106 ret -110

Both lights on the modem remain green, and the system isnt going into
any sleep mode. Unplugging the modem, and rerunning modem_run, pppoa3 is
needed to bring the connection back up.

I'm using speedtouch-1.0 under debian/sid

regards
