Hello,
I have tried several recent kernels and everything go right except my
speedtouch usb modem. I know this is a already reported problem and I
got message like :

Jan 2 18:41:54 laurent kernel: Badness in local_bh_enable at
kernel/softirq.c:121
Jan 2 18:41:54 laurent kernel: Call Trace:
Jan 2 18:41:54 laurent kernel: [<c011f3e5>] local_bh_enable+0x85/0x90
Jan 2 18:41:54 laurent kernel: [<c032827b>] ppp_sync_push+0x5b/0x170
...

I have read the Linux mailing kernel list to find a solution, and it's
seems this message com from the fact that pppd crash :

Jan 2 18:41:54 laurent pppd[2355]: pppd 2.4.1 started by root, uid 0
Jan 2 18:41:54 laurent pppd[2355]: Using interface ppp0

Jan 2 18:41:54 laurent pppoa3[2356]: pppoa3 version 1.2-beta3 started

Jan 2 18:41:54 laurent pppd[2355]: Modem hangup
Jan 2 18:41:54 laurent pppd[2355]: Connection terminated.

It's seems that the problem happen in pppoa3 but since pppoa3 is working
fine with 2.4.X kernels and that I remember I have tried a 2.5.X and
that it work.

So, is there any solution ? Did I forget something in my kernel
configuration ? And what are the last kernels know to work with the
modem (2.6.0 and 2.6.1-rc1 don't) ?

Laurent
