Duncan, Thanks for the reply. Actually, I assumed that the kernel module was included (I've installed a binary version of the 2.6 kernel), since is was included in the original Fedora Core 1 kernel. However, I couldn't find speedtch.o in /usr/lib/modules/2.6.1-1.141/kernel/drivers/usb and the .config file didn't include config_usb_speedtouch at all. So, I guess this means the Speedtouch module wasn't included and I will have to recompile the kernel (which I will give a try, any pointers to a howto would be appreciated). Could I assume that if the kernel was compiled succesfully that the Speedtouch 330 modem will work (based on the installation for the 2.4 kernel)? Or are any other modifications required?
