Thank you very much for the reply. I reversed back
udev  to udev-057. log shows I successfully get
connected. But still there is an issue:

Does this means that I have to wait very long before I
connect the telephone wire to the SpeedTouch from the
modem/router? (I'm using a Alcatel modem/router to
send this email). I waited 15min before I connect the
wire to the SpeedTouch. OR is it an issue to be
resolved?
