On a related topic, I had a message from a guy ... who is with the ISP Pipex here in the UK. He said he had to add the options `nobsdcomp' and `nodeflate' for pppd to connect with Pipex. I was wondering if I should add those options to the pppd options on all the pages. Would that be overkill? For him it was quite serious, because it prevented him connecting, but it seems to be quite rare. Many people would get a slower connection as a result, which would probably be worse overall. I think I'll make a note about that ISP in the FAQ table and leave the default pppd options as they are. What do you reckon?
