==> UIS Flag Competition. From World Caving News http://www.zenas.gr/WCN => 24 Dec. 2006.The UIS invites the speleoartists of the world to submit designs for a new flag to be raised during the International Congress of Speleology to be held in Kerrville, Texas USA 2009. This flag is to be presented at the end of each International Congress of Speleology to the next hosting country to raise during their week of Congress events. Judging will shortlist 6 entries by February 14th- 1st March 2007.Six flags will be made from the designs and displayed at the National Speleological Society Convention of 2007 in Marengo, Indiana USA.The final judging will be carried out at the UIS Bureau meeting, to be held at the FEALC Congress in Puerto Rico directly following the NSS Convention in 2007.The award for the winning flag design will be presented by the UIS Bureau at the International Congress of Speleology at Kerrville, Texas, USA in 2009.
