Hi,

I've been trying to compile a simple file into LaTeX, but I'm having
no luck so far. Using the HTML builder everything goes well though, so
I don't really see what the problem is.

I have a simple structure, the toctree in my index.rst is as follows:

.. toctree::
   :maxdepth: 2

   messages.payload
   messages.server

As said before, when building HTML all is well. When compiling to
LaTeX, it gives me the following warning:
  "WARNING: index: toctree contains ref to nonexisting file
'messages.payload'"
and it (of course) ignores the file altogether. Changing the order of
the two entries doesn't help, nor does changing the name. I can't
really figure out what the difference is between the two files, so I'm
really stuck here. I should probably mention that I'm using the
autodoc extension and that both messages.payload.rst and
messages.server.rst include only a .. automodule:: directive.

I hope someone can point me to the source of my problems.

Kind regards,
Sjoerd Cranen
