    Hi,

    In include directive, I would like do that :

    .. include:: ../README.txt
        :start-line: 4

    Docutils have this feature :

http://docutils.sourceforge.net/docs/ref/rst/directives.html#including-an-external-document-fragment

    When I launch sphinx with this directive option, I've this error :

/home/stephane/projets/harobed/dirsize_monitor/dirsize_monitor/docs/index.txt:10:
    (ERROR/3) Error in "include" directive:
    unknown option: "start-line".

    .. include:: ../README.txt
        :start-line: 4

    Why ? How can I do this task with Sphinx ?

    Thanks for your help,
    Stephane

I'm not sure why this doesn't work, but there may be an alternate method...

Try using the literalinclude directive, with the :lines: option. See here:

http://sphinx.pocoo.org/markup/code.html

I know but README.txt is a ReST document. I don't want display its literal content.

Stephane
