Hi all, I am trying to use sectnum to number my headings (duh) but for a start I'm having trouble using the options.
The most information I can find is on http://docutils.sourceforge.net/docs/ref/rst/directives.html#sectnum where it shows what the options are but I haven't gotten it to work yet. I have an index.rst at a top level, which gets several manuals for different parts of the project. I want to enable the section numbers at the top level, and use the option 'start:' to skip the top level headings and number them myself with prefix: option. This should let me get logical numbering across several documents. "Combined with prefix, this may be used to force the right numbering for a document split over several source files. The default is 1." I tried to use: .. sectnum prefix:'2.':: and .. sectnum start:2:: but it hasn't brought up section numbers on my page. I hope I have been informative enough, I'm trying to be brief. Basically I have manuals spread across different files and I want to be able to have proper numbering when it all gets pulled together into html and pdf. Thanks very much for any help. .....my first post on such a page, eep! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "sphinx-dev" group.
