I don’t know anything about Sphinx. Would it be possible for developer teams and business client users to develop a collaborative data dictionary with Sphinx?
The business clients would create a wiki describing their business processes. Then in the same document, developers would enter the data dictionary with links to relevant parts of the client wiki. The purpose is to foster communication between the two groups and to keep documentation current in a convenient manner. If Sphinx would not be a good candidate, can you think of any other, e.g., MediaWiki?
