Hi, Apologize for not sphinx specific topic, but it is related I think.
To answer for #2, oktavia can search German using German stemmer. You can check "Supported Stemmer Algorithms" at n http://oktavia.info/pages/doc/command_reference.html I can not read german but I copy and paste from wikipedia.de, I can search like this ----- % oktavia/bin/oktavia-mkindex-cli -i german.txt -m text -s german -t index then, % oktavia/bin/oktavia-search-cli search/searchindex.okt -s german Österreich searching: 6ms Die deutsche Sprache (kurz Deutsch [dɔʏ̯ʧ]) gehört zum westlichen Zweig der germanischen Sprachen und wird im deutschen Sprachraum in Deutschland, Österreich, der Deutschschweiz, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Ostbelgien, Südtirol, im Elsass und L ----- with Österreic colored. To build oktavia-cli client, you need grunt and type "grunt jsx:tools". (Documentation should be updated) I hope this will help you.
