So I wasn't in this meeting because there was no connectivity available at the "Connecting Somerset" event I was at (duh!), but it looks like a fairly fast and uneventful one. From my experience with debconf7, I don't think being known has any bearing on debconf travel sponsorship in itself, but that's not SPI's fault.
HIGHLIGHTS <Hydroxide> This meeting of Software in the Public Interest, Inc.'s board of directors is called to order. Board members, please state your name for the record. Other people who wish to be counted, /msg me 21:02:42 <Ganneff> Joerg Jaspert 21:02:42 <Hydroxide> Jimmy Kaplowitz 21:02:45 <schultmc> Michael Schultheiss 21:03:44 <luk> Luk Claes 21:04:20 <Hydroxide> we have tentative regrets from Neil McGovern 21:04:34 <cdlu> David Graham 21:06:41 <linuxpoet> Joshua D. Drake <Hydroxide> no president's report. <schultmc> A routine treasurer's report was sent out and is in the agenda. the bulk of April's donations were deposited on 2009-05-01 which is why this report shows a less than typical amount of income <schultmc> the 2008 form 990 has not yet been filed - I need to get the appropriate data to the accountant. The accountant automatically files extenstions for us. I believe [that actually happened], yes <Hydroxide> OK, moving on. My Secretary's report is in the agenda basically summarizing some SPI-related activity on behalf of DebConf10. I'm happy to answer any questions <Ganneff> debconf isnt limited to debian people <Hydroxide> if there's anyone who the DebConf organizers believe is honestly intending to attend DebConf and leave before the visa expires, and not immigrate illegally, we'll be glad to provide the same visa assistance. <Ganneff> so you can. you might not get travel sponsorship if unknown and lotsa others ask that are known, but you are welcome for sure. <Hydroxide> being a Debian developer isn't necessary - in fact, although the person my report refers to does contribute to Debian, he's not a DD. even without our visa assistance, you're welcome to attend if you can get here :) <Hydroxide> Current voting results for "Ganneff, luk, cdlu,Hydroxide, linuxpoet, schultmc": Yes: 0, No: 0, Abstain: 0, Missing: 2 ( 2009 minutes april 15th ) <Hydroxide> Current voting results for "April 15th, 2009": Yes: 6, No: 0, Abstain: 0, Missing: 0 () <cdlu> hydroxide, I'd just like to point out that next meeting is the last before the 2009 general elections <Hydroxide> the next board meeting would normally be Wednesday June 17th, 2009, same time of day (20:00 UTC) 21:19:15 <Hydroxide> *GAVEL* TIMED LOG 21:02:16 <Hydroxide> *GAVEL* 21:02:23 <Ganneff> then do it all :) 21:02:27 <Hydroxide> This meeting of Software in the Public Interest, Inc.'s board of directors is called to order 21:02:37 <Hydroxide> Board members, please state your name for the record.
