Hi,

I've just been editing some text files inside a vm (coding
on the linux agent), and the new keypress delay is very noticable,
and quite annoying.

I don't share this experience. I wonder in which typing way you notice it.
Usual typing isn't noticeable to me, however the delay for key repeat is
increased a little bit, but this is not an annoyance. Beside, the repeat delay
can be adjust in the guest.

Therefor I would like to suggest to disable it by default.

Opinions ? Better ideas ?

However, I am open for discussion for default behaviour. We left that for later
when we applied the series, iirc. Now is the time? Imho, it should be enabled by
default in wan & lan, but disabled for localhost. Some experience with it
should tell us what is best, that's why I wanted it enabled by default, so people
can actually give feedback like you did.

Having worked more with vms with this enabled, I've gotten used to
the small delay and I no longer notice it. So lets leave it enabled
by default for now, and see if we get any more negative feedback on
this.

Regards,

Hans
