Hi, I think you should not recompile. I assume you installed successfully QXL drivers in any guest.
However some more details are needed. - which type of guests are you using? - with which application type you have poor performances? - do you measure performance or just expect more responsiveness? - does screen refresh slowly? - what's the network configuration? - what's latency? (like ping response) - what's the bandwidth?
